Week 1 - The Interiors of Our Hearts
This first Sunday of 2022 shines the light of Epiphany as we celebrate 2021 and look toward the New Year. Our first series launches into the newness provided to us by the restarting of things and new approaches. Week one focuses in on starting the year with a new heart, letting our love be sincere, life-giving, and way-making.
Week 2 - Changing the Way We Think
Horizons second week of “A New Beginning” turns this Sunday to a New Mind. From Paul’s teaching in Ephesians, we are reminded and challenged to focus not on our desires, but on our hopes, not on our shortcomings, but on our vision. Celebrate the newness of our minds in Christ Jesus!
Week 3 - More than Lemon Cake
Horizons’ third week of “A New Beginning” turns to a New Focus. From Paul’s teaching in Colossians, we are reminded and challenged to set our minds on things above and not on earthly things. What are those “things from above,” and how do we make the shift? Better than a new car or even a whole-home makeover, a new, healthier, holier YOU awaits!
Week 4 - Always Under the Influence
Horizons’ fourth week of “A New Beginning” turns this Sunday to New Friends. While there’s little good in a wholesale drop of friendships, there are some in your life simply not good for you. Evaluate your friendships and the quality of your friendship to others to see where changes or healing can begin and set you free. Week 5 - Seeing Me as You See Me
Horizons’ final week of “A New Beginning” concludes this Sunday with a New Vision. Vision is like a raincoat when it’s raining. It’s the last thing you put on before going out, but essential for keeping all the other resolves from getting ruined. Cover all the changes you made in your heart, mind, focus, and friends with a worthy vision. Better than a new car or even a whole-home makeover, a new, healthier, holier YOU awaits!
