The Good Neighbor Experiment helps you learn how to connect with your actual, literal neighbors. The experiment will be a 19 week study with others that will give you practical steps on how to meet and get to know your neighbors. The study includes a sermon series with a small group study plus ‘Labs’ about Joy, Relationships, and Abundance which are each 5 weeks long. The Labs will give you practical experiments and knowledge to go out in your neighborhood! Each participant will get access to a digital participant’s booklet. The weekly meetings will include group discussions, key idea activity, reflections, look ahead to the next week, and closing scripture and prayer. This neighboring study will help you learn to get to know your individual neighbors and help the Horizons neighboring team receive strategies on how Horizons can learn to meet our church neighbors and our neighbors within Lincoln!
We are hoping to get around 12 Horizons people to be part of Horizons’ Neighboring Team! Then there will also be weeks where our group of 12 will zoom with other churches around the US doing this same neighboring experiment.
